UConn Falls to Georgetown, 6-1

WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 3) - Mike Louis (New York, N.Y.) was the lone winner for the University of Connecticut men’s tennis team as the Huskies were defeated 6-1 at Georgetown. The loss drops UConn to 3-6 on the season.
Louis won the first game of his No. 4 singles match against Eddie Carver by a score of 6-2, but was edged by Carver 7-6 in game two before coming out victorious in the tiebreaker by a score of 10-8.
The Hoyas took straight-set victories in all but one other singles match, and also swept all three doubles matches. George Rzepecki (Farmington, Conn.) took his No. 5 singles match against Erik Bildman to three sets, but was ultimately defeated.
The Huskies will return to action on Sunday, April 4 when they travel to George Mason.
