Huskies Fall to Villanova, 6-1

VILLANOVA, PA (March 27) - The University of Connecticut men's tennis team was defeated by Villanova on the road by a score of 6-1, but the Huskies played a few hard-fought matches that ended up going the other way.
Senior Andy Sweatt (Reno, Nev.) took the lone singles win for UConn at the No. 2 spot by a score of 6-2, 6-1, and the pair of Sam Sutherland (Tampa, Fla.) and Joel Gamoran (Mercer Island, Wash.) won their doubles match at the No. 3 spot by a score of 8-3.
Both Mike Louis (New York, N.Y.) and George Rzepecki (Farmington, Conn.) took their singles matches to three long sets, but ultimately were defeated by their Villanova opponents.
The Huskies will return to action on Tuesday, March 30 when they host New Hampshire at 2:30 p.m.
