Huskies Pull Out 4-3 Win at Boston University

BOSTON, MA (March 1) - Senior Mike Louis (New York, N.Y.) and sophomore Matt Stinson (Orinda, Calif.) were both double winners, helping lead the University of Connecticut men’s tennis team to a 4-3 defeat of Boston University. The win improves the Huskies’ record to 2-2 on the season.
Stinson was a winner at the No. 1 doubles position with a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 victory over Geoffrey Wagner, and also teamed with Louis for an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles. Louis was a singles winner at the No. 4 spot with a hard-fought 1-6, 7-6, 6-4 win over Michael Orden.
Junior Brian Ravesloot (Tucson, Ariz.) was another singles winner for UConn, taking a 6-2, 0-6, 7-6 win at the No. 3 spot, and rounding out the victories for the Huskies was senior George Rzepecki (Farmington, Conn.) with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 6 spot.
The team will return to action on March 7 when they face Coe College at a neutral site in Orlando, Fla.
