Huskies Fall 6-1 in Season Opener Against Hartford

STORRS, CT (Sept. 17) - The University of Connecticut men’s tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to in-state rival University of Hartford in their season opener.
The Huskies’ lone win came at the No. 5 singles spot with freshman August Vorvis (Southport, CT) defeating Jorge Acuna of Hartford by a score of 6-2, 6-1. Both Matt Stinson (Orinda, CA) at the No. 1 singles spot and Brian Ravesloot (Tuscon, AZ) at the No. 3 singles spot, respectively, had hard-fought three-set matches but ultimately were defeated.
UConn returns to action when they travel to the Cornell Invitational on Sept. 20-21.
