UConn Splits Pair of Weekend Matches

STORRS, CT - The University of Connecticut men's tennis team split a pair of matches this weekend at the UConn Tennis Courts. The Huskies defeated Villanova on Saturday 6-0, but fell to West Virginia on Sunday 4-3. The split moves the UConn record to 8-8 and 1-4 in the BIG EAST.
The Huskies dominated the match against Villanova winning all six singles matches for the 6-0 victory. Against West Virginia, UConn fell behind losing the doubles point and split the six single matches for the 4-3 final. Winning singles matches against West Virginia was Mike Furman at No. 1 singles, Max Zubatsky at No. 3 singles and Matt Stinson at No. 4 singles.
UConn returns to the courts on Tuesday, April 15, at Rutgers.
