Huskies Open Outdoor Season at Hurricane Invitational

MIAMI, FL (March 22) - The University of Connecticut women’s track and field team started the outdoor season at the Hurricane Invitational in Miami, FL on Saturday.
UConn’s had three second-place finishes on the day. Andrea Gourdine (Penfield, NY) finished second in the triple jump with a jump of 11.77 meters (38-7.50). Kristin Meyer (Hillsborough, NJ) also earned a second place finish in the 3000 meter run, with a time of 10:11.00. The final second place finish went to Amy Parkosewich (Bethlehem, CT) in the discus, with a distance of 48.39 meters (158-9.00).
