Huskies Take Second at New England Championships

NORTHAMPTON, MA (March 1) - The University of Connecticut women’s track and field team claimed second place of 27 teams at the New England Women’s Indoor Track Championships at Smith College this weekend. They finished with 116.50 points as Northeastern University took home the title.
Antonia Cadore (North York, Ontario) led the Huskies with the only first-place finish on day two. She claimed the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.01 seconds. Cadore also placed second in the 200-meter as Kristen Meyer (Hillsborough, NJ) grabbed second in the 3000 meter run.
Deirdre Mullen (Princeton, NJ) will participate in the USATF competition on Sunday, March 2 at 1:15 p.m. Mullen will be competing in the high jump at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, MA.
