Huskies in Second After Day One at New Englands

NORTHAMPTON, MA (February 28) - The University of Connecticut women’s track and field team completed day one of the New England Championships at Smith College in second place with 29 points.
Antonia Cadore (North York, Ontario) finished the first day of competition with two of UConn’s three first-place finishes. She led the 200-meter preliminary race with a time of 25.22 seconds went on finish on top of the 55-meter prelims as well. The final first place finish was claimed by the 4x200 meter relay team.
The Huskies continue with day two of the Championship meet on Saturday, March 1. Competition begins at 10 a.m.
