Huskies Earn Split of Non-Conference Dual Matches

WEST POINT, NY (Feb. 23, 2003) - The University of Connecticut men’s tennis team split a pair of duals at Army on Sunday. The Huskies dropped the first dual to Army 6-1, but defeated Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC) 6-1. The split moves the Huskies to 4-3 overall.
UConn was led by junior Mike Louis who won his No. 6 singles match against Army and teamed with sophomore Alex Ningas to win the No. 3 doubles against UMBC and the team of Max Zubatsky and Brian Ravesloot who won both matches at No.2 doubles. Other individuals who picked up singles wins against UMBC were seniors Joe Lang and Zubatsky, junior Andy Sweatt and freshmen Matt Stinson and Sho Sato.
The Huskies return to action on Sun., Mar. 2 when they travel to Hanover, NH take on Dartmouth.
