Connecticut Drops Close One to West Virginia

STORRS, CT (Feb. 1) - The University of Connecticut men's swimming and diving team fell to West Virginia 153-141 on Saturday, at Wolff-Zackin Natatorium.  The loss drops UConn to 5-3 on the season, while West Virginia moves to 9-5 overall.
On senior day the Huskies were led by senior Marshall Livingstone who won the 100 yard freestyle, finished second in the 50 freestyle and was on the winning 200 freestyle relay team.  Junior Chase Dunlap also performed well wining both the one-meter and three-meter diving events.  Other individuals winning medalist honors are Brian Thomas in the 100 backstroke, Bobby Folan in the 200 backstroke and Dustin Rogers in the 200 individual medley.
UConn concludes action at home on Tuesday, February 4, against Holy Cross at Wolff-Zackin Natatorium.  The dual is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
