Huskies Fall 4-2 to Marist in Dual Match Play

STORRS, CT (Oct. 8) - Despite wins in two of three doubles matches, the University of Connecticut men’s tennis team was ultimately defeated 4-2 by Marist in dual match play on the UConn Tennis Courts. The loss puts the Huskies at 1-2 in dual match play so far in the fall season.
Brian Ravesloot (Tuscon, AZ) and Joel Gamoran (Mercer Island, WA) won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles and Matt Stinson (Orinda, CA) and August Vorvis (Southport, CT) took a win at the No. 3 doubles spot to give UConn the doubles point, but Sam Sutherland (Tampa, FL) was the only victor for the Huskies in singles play with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Alain Boletia. Ravesloot was unable to complete his match at the No. 3 singles spot due to darkness.
UConn returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 15 when they host in-state rival Quinnipiac at 2:30 p.m.
