NEW BRITAIN, CT (Sept. 7) - The University of Connecticut women's cross country team began its 2002 season with a third-place finish at the Central Connecticut Invitational on Saturday.
Boston College won the team title with 27 points while Rhode Island was second with 55 and UConn had 66.
The top UConn runner on the day was Sarah Casilli with a second-place finish in a time of 17:24.5. Husky Kristen Meyer was ninth at 18:47.1 while Kelly Joy was 13th at 18:57.0.
