Husky Divers Fail to Advance Past NCAA Regionals

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The University of Connecticut men’s and women’s swimming and diving team had two participants in the 2002 NCAA Diving Regionals, held this weekend at the U.S. Naval Academy.
Junior diver Melissa Kull (Poughkeepsie, NY) took 10th in the three-meter dive with a score of 420.75 and 12th in the one-meter dive with a score of 228.72.
Junior diver Kevin McKinney (Mt. Laurel, NJ) took seventh in the three-meter dive with a score of 473.30 and 10th in the one-meter dive with a score of 247.70.
The NCAA Diving Regionals end the season for UConn’s top two divers, and they did not place high enough to advance to the NCAA Championships, being held next weekend.
