Huskies Come Close in Second Day of Championships

UNIONDALE, NY – In day two of the BIG EAST Championships, the University of Connecticut swimming & diving team brought home one top-three finish, and just missed bringing home a second.
The 800 Freestyle Relay men’s team of Dustin Rogers (So., West Allis, WI), Craig Orski (Jr., West Sayville, NY), Bill Monaghan (Fr., Fairfield, CT) and Marshal Livingstone (Jr., Endwell, NY) took third with a time of 6:43.41 behind teams from West Virginia and Pittsburgh.
Senior Ofri Brener, who had a fourth-place finish in the Championships last year, took another one this year in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 56.15.
