UConn performed better at the Blue Devil Invitational on September 21, claiming seventh place out of 12 teams. Again, Blake led the Huskies with a 16th place finish in 27:29.9, followed by Hudimatch in 30th with a time of 28:10.1.
Blake and Hudimatch led the pack the following week at the Quinnipiac Invitational. This time the team took second place behind the hosting Bobcats. Blake claimed fourth place in 27:00.9, while Hudimatch took seventh with a time of 27:12.3.
At the New England Championship race on October 11, the Huskies placed 35th out of 46 teams, with Providence leading the pack with 36 points. Once again, Blake was UConn's top runner, placing 79th overall in a time of 25:50, 2:29 behind the number one finisher, Adam Sutton from Providence. Other finishers for the Huskies included Hudimatch, Bereshith Adams (Roselle, NJ), Logan Jones (Dorchester, MA) and Nick Auyeung (Manchester, CT).
The Huskies wrapped up the season at the BIG EAST Championship race at Franklin Park in Boston, MA in the beginning of November. In the 8000-meter race, Villanova senior Jonathan Fasulo finished second, leading the Wildcats to the title. UConn finished last, accumulating 403 points as Blake once again led the Huskies, finishing 67th overall with a time of 26:12.
Other UConn runners that were consistently finishing well were freshman Brock Silvestri (Howell, NJ) and junior Adams.
