UConn Falls to Rutgers

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The University of Connecticut men’s swimming and diving team lost to Rutgers 153-188 Saturday in Piscataway, NJ. The loss drops UConn to 3-2 on the season.
The men were led on the swimming side by junior Dustin Rogers who qualified for the BIG EAST "A" section in the 100 butterfly with a time of 51.00 and qualified for the BIG EAST "B" in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:44.21. Sophomore Bobby Folan, senior Marshal Livingstone and junior David Coehn also swam well. Folan qualified for BIG EAST "A" in the 100 back with a time of 53.40, while Livingstone went under the BIG EAST "A" qualifications again in the 50 and 100 yard freestyles. Coehn qualified for The "B" section in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.15.
On the diving side senior Kevin McKinney won both the 1 and 3 meter diving events, with junior Chase Dunlap finished second.
The Huskies return to action on Friday, November 16, when they play host to Boston University.
