Huskies Finish Day One at Pittsburgh Invitational

Pittsburgh, PA (Nov. 22) - The University of Connecticut’s swimming and diving teams completed one day of competition in the 2002 Pittsburgh Invitational on Friday, November 22 by claiming just one first-place finish. Melissa Kull took first in the women’s 1-meter dive with a score of 258.90.
Hosting Pittsburgh finished first in all 10 swimming events on day one. On the men’s side, Marshall Livingstone had his best race on the day when he finished third in the 50-Yard Freestyle with a time of 21.10.
Behind Kull’s first place dive, the women’s best effort was a fourth-place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, as Cathy Brown, Lindsay Hansen, Katy Cerrito and Kathryn Jelus finished in 1:37.15.
The competition resumes today at 10 a.m. with prelims and finals at 5:30 p.m.
