UConn Drops Five Game Match to Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, MA (Nov. 15) - The University of Connecticut women’s volleyball team dropped a tough five game match 3-2 to Boston College Friday, night in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The loss drops the Huskies to 13-14 overall and 8-4 in the BIG EAST, while Boston College moves to 14-17 on the season and 3-9 in conference.
The Huskies were led by senior Christine Lambert (Lancaster, CA) and sophomore Jamie Hadenfeldt (Benicia, CA). Lambert recorded a match high 19 kills along with eight blocks, while Hadenfeldt had 15 kills and a match high 26 digs. Seniors Melissa Wooley (Ridgecrest, CA) and Sarah Walton (North Fork, CA) added kill-dig double-doubles of 15 kills, 12 digs and 13 kills, 22 digs, respectively. Junior Julie Erbez (Stockton, CA) set the game with 61 assists and 18 digs.
Boston College was led by Katie Anderson with 16 kills and 14 digs, while Liz Aron added 15 kills and 17 digs. .
Connecticut will travel to Providence College on Sunday, November 17, with a trip to the BIG EAST tournament on the line. Game time is slated for 2:00 p.m.
