Hadenfeldt Selected Co-BIG EAST Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, RI (Oct. 7) - Sophomore Jamie Hadenfeldt (Benicia, CA) of the Connecticut womens volleyball team was selected Co-BIG EAST Player of the Week named by the league officials on Monday, afternoon. Hadenfeldt shares the honor with Sara Albert of Georgetown.

Hadenfeldt led UConn to a 2-1 record last week with three kill-dig double-doubles. In a 3-0, win against West Virginia, she recorded an outstanding 20 kills and 22 digs, along with a .436 hitting percentage. Hadenfeldt in three matches last week averaged 4.90 kills/game and 5.00 digs/game, while hitting .390 a match.

Connecticut returns to action Fri., Oct. 11, when they travel to St. Johns.
