UConn Drops Match to Northeastern

BOSTON, MA (Oct. 15) - The University of Connecticut women’s volleyball team lost to Northeastern, 3-0 (30-22, 30-23, 30-18) at Solomon Court Tuesday night. UConn with the loss falls to 7-11 overall, while Northeastern moves to 10-13 on the season.
Senior Christine Lambert (Lancaster, CA) led the Huskies with 10 kills on a .500 hitting percentage along with three blocks. UConn also got contributions from senior Melissa Wooley (Ridgecrest, CA) and junior Julie Erbez (Stockton, CA). Wooley recorded 13 kills on 6 digs, while Erbez set the game with 36 assists.
Northeastern was led by Lindsay Wagner with 14 kills and Kristin Ursillo with 40 assists.
Connecticut returns to action on Fri., Oct. 18, at 2:30 pm, when they host Fairfield in the UConn Autumn Classic at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.
