Connecticut Falls to New Hampshire, 3-0

DURHAM, NH (Oct. 1) - The University of Connecticut (5-9, 1-1) women’s volleyball team fell to the University of New Hampshire (9-9, 0-0), Tuesday night, 3-0 (30-28, 30-22, 30-28).
UConn was led by sophomore Jamie Hadenfeldt (Benicia, CA) who had her fifth double-double of the season. Hadenfeldt recorded 11 kills and 13 digs. Senior Melissa Wooley (Ridgecrest, CA) also posted a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs. The Huskies also received a strong performances from senior Sarah Walton (North Fork, CA), who just missed a double-double with 9 kills and a team high 16 digs. Junior Julie Erbez set the game for UConn with 39 assists.
The Wildcats were led by Alyson Coler and Lauren Knight. Knight posted a double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs, while Coler had a team high 16 kills.
Connecticut returns to action on Fri., Oct. 4, at 7:00 pm, when they return to conference play against West Virginia at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.
