Huskies Sweep Seton Hall, Split With Villanova

VILLANOVA, PA (November 3, 2001) – The University of Connecticut men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams swept Seton Hall and split with Villanova Saturday afternoon at Villanova.
The men defeated Seton Hall, 147 to 95, and Villanova, 159 to 74, while the women were victorious over Seton Hall, 182 to 60, but fell to Villanova, 148 to 93.
The two wins rocket the men’s record to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the BIG EAST, while the split for the women puts them identical with the men at 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the BIG EAST.
The Huskies will host their first meet at 1 p.m. next Saturday as Rutgers and Notre Dame travel to Storrs, CT. The Rutgers meet will be both men and women, but the Notre Dame match-up will be between the men only.
