The double-double gives her 22 on the year and was her 15th in the last 16 matches. Schindel ends her career ranked on several of the school's single season and career record lists. With 445 kills this year, she ranks sixth on UConn's single season chart. On her career, she stands at eighth in kills with 884, while her 941 digs rank ninth. Julie Erbez (Fr., S, Stockton, CA) led the team in assists with 46. On the season, she ended with 903, which ranks as the tenth most of any Husky in a single year.
UConn finished the season ranked fourth in the BIG EAST conference as the Huskies received a bid to the conference tournament, which was held just one weekend ago. The host school, Notre Dame, won the event and received the conference's automatic trip to the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament. The national title game will be played Dec. 16, in Richmond, VA, on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University.
