Volleyball Places Three On All-Big East Teams

Senior Stephanie Schindel (Diamond Bar, CA) earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors. An outside hitter, Schindel led her team in both total kills (400) and kills per game (3.74). She rated first in total digs (356) and digs per game (3.21). She ranks 10th for most kills in a season with 400 and is ninth on the all-time career list with 839. Schindel also ranks ninth for digs in a career with 881.
Freshmen Julie Erbez (Stockton, CA) and Laura Wooley (Ridgecrest, CA), both outside hitters as well, were named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie Team. Erbez led the Huskies in assists with 9.76 per game and her 1.74 digs per game ranked her fifth. Wooley was fourth on the squad in kills with 2.11 a game. She also ranked fourth in digs per game (1.91).
The No. 4 seed Huskies meet No. 1 seed Notre Dame on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 1:30 p.m. in the BIG EAST conference tournament semifinals hosted by the Fighting Irish.
